"The night the woods sucked"

Films: The Black Water Vampire (2014)

Alias: None

Type: Mystical

Location: Forest

Height/Weight: That of an average human.

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: Vampires are usually at least trying to look human before they go in for the kill. But others, not so much. Some just prefer a more primal lifestyle. And we can't fault them for that. Until the murders start, of course.

History: For the last four decades, women have been disappearing from the town surrounding Black Water Creek. They keep popping up with a bizarre symbol etched into their skin, as well as bite marks. This is in fact the work of a feral vampire seeking an ideal mate to produce his progeny. None have fit the bill, so they become food. Now, a group seeking to keep a person from being framed is out to seek the killer. But in truth, it's seeking them, and it likes what it sees for once...

Notable Kills: See Final Fate.

Final Fate: After impregnating one of the crew, the vampire is assisted by the townsfolk in subduing her as their baby bursts out of her stomach. The people soon celebrate the baby's birth.

Powers/Abilities: None.

Weakness: Unknown.

Scariness Factor: 3.5-The computer effects are insanely bad, but if only because it contrasts so much with how frightening the practical ones are. Indeed, this vampire with its misshapen wings and huge fangs can strike fear into just about anyone. His rape-happy tendencies and complete domination over the town make things worse. Just why the people serve this creature is never explained, but would we really like to know that?

Trivia: -Producer Jesse Baget did this film almost entirely on the basis that there were no found-footage vampire films at the time, and he wanted a vampire too savage for words.

-The vampire here bears a striking resemblance to the one featured on the found-footage mockumentary series, "Lost Tapes". In the episode it was in, it may have lacked wings, but it had all the bestial qualities this one had, though it was driven away by a baseball bat and a wooden cross-liek stabbing.
